Mullane 300S Snowguard
The Mullane 300S standard snow guard for new installations on slate roofs (#300S-NA) or asphalt shingle roofs (#300S-AS) is a solid bronze and copper pad style snowguard for all steep roof applications. The half round Model #300 casting is attached to a 20 ounce copper installation base flange by four brass rivets for extreme durability and snow load bearing capacity. Select type below.
18 inches long, 2.5 inches wide, protrudes up from the roof about 2 inches. Tested at 870 pounds pressure. The solid bronze casting eliminates the corrosion problem caused by condensation which is formed inside of closed, pressed copper snow guards. The installation flange can be easily fabricated to any length for any roof application, and is also available with our Retro-Hook.
The installation flange can be easily fabricated to any length for any roof application, typically 18 inches for new slate and 9 inches for shingle. For solder application on copper roofs, specify the Model #300CPSM.
Snowguards should be installed where the potential for the sudden sliding of ice and snow can be hazardous to people or property below. Falling snow is a life safety issue, and careful consideration of liability issues should be part of a carefully designed roof system in all areas prone to winter snow and ice.
